INFORMATION FOR LANDLORDS

Light for Life's Hub offers a comprehensive Tenant Finding Service working alongside various private landlords and letting agents in both the Southport and wider Sefton areas. The Hub is located in a vibrant part of Southport, and we deal with many customers from all walks of life looking for all types of accommodation. 

The Hub offers a warm, friendly welcome to all customers looking for help to resolve their housing needs. We are also able to provide advice to landlords including a landlord and tenant support liaison service. 

All clients in need of accommodation are fully assessed across a broad range of need so as to find out a little more about them in order to provide the best outcome for their circumstances. The Accommodation Coordinator is responsible for appropriately matching tenants to properties and provides a full sign-up service for both parties. This service includes carrying out property inventories, preparing tenancy agreements and completing the full sign-up on behalf of the landlord at no cost.

The client is offered a named Support Worker who assists in maintaining the tenancy and who also acts as landlord/tenant liaison where necessary. A number of our clients are on low incomes and have no means to secure a deposit. We can offer landlords a written guarantee in the form of a bond as an alternative to a deposit. For our vulnerable clients, we are also able to request direct payment of rent either through Sefton Council’s Revenue and Benefits Service or Universal Credit.
